Privacy and personal data protection policy

1. Data controller

2. Legal framework
This policy is governed by Statutory Law 1581 of 2012, Decree 1377 of 2013 (compiled in Decree 1074 of 2015) and other Colombian personal data protection regulations. Medical records are also governed by their own confidentiality and custody rules.
3. Data we collect
Identification and contact data (name, ID document, phone, email and delivery address), data needed for medical care and, for the pharmacy, the photo of the medical prescription, order data and payment data. Health data is sensitive data: you are not required to provide it unless it is necessary to give you the care you request, and its processing requires your express authorization.
4. Purposes
- Scheduling, confirming and managing appointments, and contacting you by phone, WhatsApp or email.
- Providing dermatological care and keeping medical records.
- Preparing, shipping and charging for compounded formulas and products.
- Complying with legal, accounting and tax obligations.
- Sending you information about our services, only if you authorize it.
5. Third parties involved
Some processes involve third parties with their own privacy policies: Doctoralia (appointment booking), Bold (online payments), banks (transfers) and courier companies (deliveries). We only share the data needed for each process.
6. Prescription, orders and payments on the website
When you upload the photo or PDF of your prescription on the pharmacy page, the file is sent encrypted to Anthropic, an artificial intelligence provider, solely to identify the prescribed products. If you confirm the order, the prescription, the products and your delivery details (name, mobile number, address and city) are stored in the pharmacy’s order system, hosted on Supabase, which only authorized staff can access. The prescription is deleted automatically 30 days after delivery, or 60 days after the order if it is not completed; the other order data is kept for as long as the law requires. If you pay online, the payment is processed by Bold, which only receives the amount and an order reference. The pharmacy receives email notices of orders and payments (via Resend), without health data, and may contact you via WhatsApp (Meta Platforms). The order in progress is kept for 24 hours in your own browser so it is not lost if the page reloads. The website is hosted on Vercel. Some of these providers are located outside Colombia, so the information may be transmitted internationally, which you authorize by using this service.
7. Your rights
As the data subject you may: access, update and correct your data; request proof of the authorization given; be informed of how it is used; revoke the authorization or request deletion of your data when there is no legal or contractual duty to keep it; access it free of charge; and file complaints with the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (SIC).
8. Inquiries and claims
Write to info@yurydermatologist.com with your name, ID document and request. Inquiries are answered within ten (10) business days and claims within fifteen (15) business days, extendable as provided by law.
9. Security and retention
We apply reasonable technical and administrative measures to protect your data. We keep it for as long as necessary for the purposes described and as required by law, particularly for medical records.
10. Cookies
This site may use technical and analytics cookies to work and to measure visits. The Google Maps embedded on the offices page may use their own cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings.
11. Effective date and changes
This policy is effective as of October 8, 2026. Any substantial change will be published on this page.
